Welcome to Forest Stables

Equine rest and retirement home. Set in the magnificent Brechfa Forest in south Wales, we specialise
in long term care for elderly or convalescing equine friends.

Our 45 acre family farm is nestled in a peaceful secluded valley, and provides sheltered meadow grazing with
access to woodland and streams. Established in 2006, we believe in dedicated individual care rather than a large commercial
enterprise, and we therefore limit our capacity to 15 horses, plus a small flock of sheep to assist with grazing management.

Horse Retirement

At Forest Stables we understand that each horse has
individual needs and requirements, especially in retirement.
Our aim is to provide the most natural lifestyle possible
whilst maintaining this individual care and attention.
